SANTA!

Our neighborhood firehouse had Santa come around the neighborhood to visit! He brought presents for the kids and everyone got to sit on Santa's lap and tell him what they would like for Christmas! Kerry was watching all the kids running around before Santa arrived and loved the fire truck as it came down the road lights and sirens (Grandpas would be proud!)! Boy was it chilly out!

Waiting for Santa with Daddy...
Watching all the kids run around in the snow... 'Oh I can't wait to be big!'

Hey there Santa! Mommy and Daddy said you are going to bring me toys!

I like this Santa guy! (This picture was too cute not to include!)

The family (and Grandma too) with Santa!

First Christmas Tree!

We bundled up and went out just before sundown on 12/11 to get Kerry's first Christmas tree! What a joy! We are so very blessed.
I am all ready to go get our first Christmas tree!

Friends and Carrotts

Mommy took some pictures of me and my new friends...
Here is me and my girl friend (shhhh don't tell mommy). Isn't she beautiful?! We took turns eating each other's hands.

Here is me trying Carrotts... I didn't like them and kept spitting them out. Mommy and Daddy were laughing at me! I think I will stick with Oatmeal in the morning... that is yummy!

Uncle John's Wedding

Uncle John got married on November 7th! It was a grand occasion and a good time was had by all although I didn't get to make it...Mommy told me all about it! Congratulations to Uncle John and Aunt Lauren and welcome to the family Aunt Lauren! We love you! Mommy said she has never seen Uncle John as happy as he was on the day he said I do!

The happy couple!

Look at mommy and daddy all dolled up!

It's been awhile!

Wow! It's been awhile sine I blogged and so much has happened in these 2 months! Most importantly Kerry sat up today unassisted for more than 5 seconds... lol! So we are considering today the day! And as a bonus it is Uncle John's birthday today! Happy Birthday Uncle John! Here are some cute shots that I took this evening. Enjoy!

Happy Halloween!

Dutchess County Fair

We spent the day at the Dutchess County Fair with Aunt Trish. What a great day and we had fantastic weather. Not too hot... bit of a breeze when we were in the shade. And I got this magnificent new wrap thing that made carrying Kerry a piece of cake... no shoulder or back pain. The way you carry him...it was almost like being preggo again... suprisingly, a really nice feeling.=) He loved being that close and slept most of the time (as you can see below).

Aren't we just the cutest family!

After Aunt Trish enjoyed her lunch, she gave Kerry his... so mommy and daddy could have theirs.=)

How cute is he? He is debating whether to give Aunt Trish a burp or not.

'Look what a big boy I am standing up!'

Quick photo-op before leaving the fair.

A good time was had by all!

Baptism

On August 2, 2009 William Kerry Hollywood was Baptised.
Kerry's Baptismal Gown and bonnet were made from my Wedding Gown by an AMAZING friend of ours Dee! Thank you so much for this unbelievable gift Dee... it will now be an heirloom, a gift we will never be able to thank you enough for.

It was a very wonderful, very wet, day. We had over 80 adults and children all squeezed into our house! You should have seen the road outside our house... so many cars, wish I would have gotten a picture of that! We did have a tent, with tables and chairs outside, but with this summer being as wet as it has been and then it raining on top of that, needless to say, it was very soggy outside!
With all the craziness and me losing my camera after the church this is the best pic I have of Kerry with his Godparents: Trish, my friend since high school and Sean, Tom's brother. I know there will be many more to come though.

A bunch of family and friends came to celebrate Kerry "getting rid of" his original sin... all sins are his from here on out! Own it baby!=0) Here is the family shot with Father Crawford and Deacon Salamone from our parish St. Martin de Porres.

I wanted to put this picture in because 1: I LOVE it and 2: we wouldn't be here (in so many ways) if it wasn't for Grandma and Grandpa Minze, Grammie and Grandpa Hollywood. Tom, Kerry and I can not even begin to thank you for all your unconditional love and support. You never cease to amaze us with your generosity and love. XOXO

So cute! Here is Kerry in his little mickey polo that has his name embroidered on it! (We were going to get one for Grandpa Kerry too, but I didn't think he would go for it...he he)

Last but not least... I had to add this picture because he is just so darn cute! Look at that face!

I am 4 weeks old!

Wow! Where has the time gone?!? We can't believe that 4 weeks have passed already! We have had lots of company and visitors and lots and lots of help from our parents (THANK GOD for them!) On one occasion Tom and I laid down for a nap saying "God Bless Grandmas".=0) Here are some people who have come to see Kerry!

K2... Grandpa(Kerry) and Baby Kerry.

Grandma and Grandpa Minze have been up to visit many times. Here is Grandpa Minze just enjoying time with his grandson.Kerry loves sleeping on Grandpa's tummy... he is always sure to fall asleep.Smart boy! He likes to be warm like Grandpa and Mommy!

Uncle Sean & Aunt Nicole came for a visit to meet the newest family member. Then the Rita family stopped by for a hello!

Kerry is growing and trying out his voice. We get little coos, sighs and noises and have little conversations with him and he is very entertained and entertaining! During tummy time he has rolled over a few times! I actually got it on video finally! Check it out...

Blog Name Change

Now that we know what our lil' cabbage is and have been hanging out for about a month... we wanted the name of the blog to reflect a little more of our little boy's personality. Tom and I have been calling Kerry "Mr. Magoo face" or "Magoo" because of the faces he makes. So we thought it fitting to change the blog, all about him, to the "Adventures of Our Magoo"! Hope you continue to enjoy our blog and hearing about the adventures of our Magoo face.

Kerry's first 2 weeks.

I have finally uploaded photos of the newest addition to the Hollywood family. Here are just a few...
Tummy time!
Kerry has been hanging out on his tummy for a little bit each day. Sometimes it is more fun than others. He does a great job picking up his head and lifting himself up with his hands to move his head from side to side. McCabe likes to walk by and give him a lick here and there too!

Father and Son... awwww:)

It's a boy!

William Kerry arrived on Tuesday 5/19/09 at 5:56pm!

Bit of a surprise that Tuesday morning as I was up for one of my many bathroom breaks walking back to the bed and thought 'I made it through another night.' Got back into bed and was making myself comfortable when... WHOA! I jumped back out of bed because... that's right folks, my water broke at 5:45AM! And I am good --- not any of it on the bed. Since my water broke the Dr. told me to go to the hospital --- I didn't rush since I wasn't having any contractions yet. Got to the hospital about 8:30ish, active labor started about noonish, pushed Kerry out shortly before 6pm... with Tom by my side and the 2 moms in the room. It was so amazing to hear the Dr. say "It's a boy" and place my son on my chest... there was not a dry in the room. Well, maybe the Dr.=0) Kerry weighed in at 7'10 and 20 inches long.

For those of you who don't know Kerry is named after his Grandpa's! We love you! XOXO

37 Weeks - full term!

Wednesday 5/13 I was 37 weeks a.k.a full term! Doctor's appointment on Friday she said that I am still 80% effaced and now 1cm dilated and measuring perfectly. Exactly on time... I am textbook for 37 weeks.:)

I was planning on working this week... but the drive to and from Brooklyn is just getting to be too much on the belly and the back. So I am officially on leave! Hopefully I will have some nice quiet time with just the hubby for a few days or a couple of weeks before Lil' Cabbage arrives. I can not believe I am only about 2.5 weeks away from my due date! That is so crazy!

36 weeks

Dr.'s appointment today and I am 80% effaced... which could mean baby is coming or could mean really absolutely nothing except baby is getting ready and is just about in the right position to come. Some women have broken their water the next day after finding out they are 80% effaced and some have waited another 3-4 weeks for their baby's arrival. I am not dilated at all yet, so I am thinking Baby Hollywood is not coming anytime soon. But we all know who is in charge and it is not me!

Dr. Lederman said the good thing about first babies is... "they don't just fall out". Ha ha! He sees nothing wrong with me working and being able to make it up here even if I go into labor down in Brooklyn. What will be, will be!

Baby Shower #2 - Cornwall

Baby Shower #2 thrown by the mom's up in Cornwall at Drew's on the Square on Sunday 4/26. The food was fabulous especially the DELICIOUS cake made by Alexis! Thank you! Great choice Mom H!

Once again it was so wonderful to be surrounded by people who love Tom and I so much and we were showered with more presents for baby --- the nursery is overflowing!

Maternity Photo Shoot

On Saturday April 11th Tom and I had Sally Sosler, a photographer come into our home and she did a maternity photo shoot! The pics came out amazing...

The one above is a little peak at the belly.
The first one below is my favorite. The second one below, I am wrapped in a blanket that was made for us for our wedding by one of Tom's great aunt's... Thanks Aunt Sis!

Baby Shower #1 - Brooklyn

Wow! Tom and I are so blessed! The mom's threw the Brooklyn baby shower yesterday and it was amazing. The room was filled with people we love and I did get to spend a little time with each table and say hello and talk for a bit which was nice but there were A LOT of presents to be opened! So as soon as I was finished eating I was told I had to get right to work!

The nursery is now filled with stuff that I have to go through --- but it is even more (wonderfully) overwhelming now that they are all unwrapped! We are so very lucky and so very blessed to have such wonderful family and friends surrounding us!

Savoring all those kicks...

A friend of mine today, Robin, told me to 'savor all those little kicks.' It is not the first time someone has told me it but today it struck a cord (thank you heightened hormone levels). I was talking to Tom and said 'as much as I am looking forward to meeting this baby... I am going to miss this' as I rub my belly. I have enjoyed this vacation so much... just having time to watch my belly as baby moves all around to get comfortable or whatever lil' cabbage is doing in there. I actually had tears in my eyes --- and said I want to do this again. Haven't gone through the joy of labor yet --- but this is such an amazing experience I would not give up for the world. I am so blessed to be given the opportunity to carry our child and feel baby move and grow.

Tom told me that soon that little one is going to be on your chest trying so hard to lift it's head to look at you... Wow, our baby is coming soon.

33 Weeks!

Wow where does the time go?! I can't believe I am already 33 weeks! Still feeling good. I was talking to the fam over the Easter weekend about how interesting this all is. Like trying to get out of bed in the middle of the night to go pee. Something we all take for granted has become quite the process for me (and I am sure all preggos out there!). I sleep on the left side of the bed and if I am sleeping on my right side, therefore not facing the edge of the bed, I have to flip (sometimes it feels like throwing) my body onto my back then onto my other side and then kind of roll myself out of bed b/c I can't just sit up since there is a person preventing me from doing that...ha ha. All this time I kind of lose my breath and start coughing. How weird right? This isn't something I am complaining about mind you --- I just find all these oddities amazing and interesting.

And the lil' cabbage is moving more and more all around in there! I see hands or feet pushing across my tummy like waves usually a few times a day! There really is a person... a human being growing in moving around in there! HOW MAGNIFICENT!
